USA, Rethinking of Central King Building at NJIT, Newark New Jersey

Adaptive re-use, Preservation, Sustainable Architecture and Urban Design response to Spaces-in-Between were among the design principles in this project.
Inside-out / Outside-in views to the building and its location at the sloped site created alternatives in offering new communal space to the academic setting. Poetical interactions between buildings, site features, flow of movements , interplays with light and shadows, flow of positive/negative spaces contribute in creating Poetical Spaces crucial to meaningful space-making.
