Cardiovascular, Orthopedics, Contagious Disease Departments are also included in this 2000 beds, 180,000 SM complex. The site is 5.5 Ha and triangular shape with 40 meters grade changes from north to south.
The concept is to create a health village community and avoiding cold and sterile typical hospital environments, recalling the natural mountainous landscape and using slopes in creating rich spaces of vernacular Chongqing quality with transparent bridges interconnecting buildings at different levels facilitating ease of way finding and communications among multiple functions. Ancient concept of Shan-Shui / Mountain and Water has been in mind in design. Different age groups and intense family oriented characteristics of Chinese Hospital environments are also recognized.
2000 cars parking in two levels have taken advantages of natural slopes and covered by cascading central lawns. Recycling sewage and rainwater, passive and active solar energy , geothermal and wind energy are integrated with design.
